Why Ergonomic Assessment Matters
Poor workstation setup is one of the most preventable causes of chronic neck pain, lower back pain, tension headaches, and repetitive strain injuries (RSI) we see at VPARC. Dr. Prashant Punj now offers formal onsite and offsite ergonomic assessment β evaluating how you actually sit, type, and move at your desk, and correcting it before it becomes a clinical problem.
With increasing hours spent at desks, laptops, and screens β whether in an office, working from home, or gaming β postural load builds up silently over months before it ever shows up as pain. An objective ergonomic evaluation catches this early, rather than waiting for you to already be in discomfort.
Onsite vs. Offsite Assessment
Onsite assessment: Dr. Punj visits your home or office and physically evaluates your workstation β chair, desk, monitor, keyboard, mouse, lighting, and your real working posture in context.
Offsite assessment: A remote evaluation via video call or submitted photos/video of your workstation, for clients outside Varanasi or unable to schedule an in-person visit.
Assessment Method β RULA & REBA
Every evaluation uses RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) and REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) β internationally validated ergonomic risk-scoring tools used by occupational health professionals worldwide to objectively grade postural load on the neck, shoulders, trunk, and limbs, rather than a subjective "this looks wrong" judgement.
